LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
Missing Tennessee teen Tyler Campbell has been found alive in Limestone County, Alabama.
Limestone County Sheriff's Department said 19-year-old Campbell crashed his car into a ravine Saturday on Interstate 65 northbound at the 365 mile marker, and he has been there since. They said he climbed to the top of the ravine and was found Tuesday near the state line on the side of the interstate. A motorist called 911 to report a wreck when they saw Campbell slumped under the guard rail.
First responders said Campbell asked for some water and to talk to his parents. He used an emergency worker's cell phone to call his mother from the side of the road.
Campbell told them his leg was broken and his shoulder hurt. The injured teen kept thanking God he was alive as first responders checked him out. He was taken to Huntsville Hospital.
Lincoln County, Tennessee authorities and U.S. Marshals had been searching for Campbell since Saturday.
