HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Tommy Battle was officially sworn in as the mayor of Huntsville.
He and city council members Richard Showers and Will Culver held their inauguration ceremony this morning.
City leaders gathered at Big Spring Park to congratulate Mayor Battle on his second term.
Battle said he looks forward to serving another four years.
"I want to thank you for the honor and the trust you have placed in me," he said at the ceremony. "I'm honored to have served you and the city of Huntsville."
