HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
A 19-year-old has died after an overnight car accident in Huntsville.
It happened around 1 a.m. Saturday morning in the 700 block of Mountain Gap Road.
Investigators said the driver lost control of his vehicle and hit a tree. Tyreez Marquay Thompson, a passenger, suffered life threatening injuries.
HEMSI transported Thompson to Huntsville Hospital in critical condition. He died later that day.
The driver and one other passenger were also taken with serious injuries. Their names have not been released.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
