MORGAN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
Crews responded to the scene of a serious accident on Highway 157 in Morgan
County.
The accident happened around 8 a.m. on Highway 157 and County Road 55
between an 18 wheeler and a white pickup truck.
The driver of the truck said he was traveling east on County Road 55 when he
was blinded by the sun and hit the 18 wheeler. The crash caused the fuel tank
on the 18 wheeler to burn and leak.
Officials said about 150 gallons of fuel leaked.
Medflight was dispatched to the scene but the driver refused treatment.
The wreck happened just before 8 a.m.
