Former Scottsboro court clerk pleads guilty to theft

SCOTTSBORO, AL (WAFF) -

A former Scottsboro Municipal Court clerk pleaded guilty to theft of more than $12,000 in city court funds.

Jill Dover entered her plea before a Jackson County judge on Tuesday.

Dover was given a five year suspended jail sentence and ordered to three years probation.

Dover was arrested earlier in 2012 following an ABI investigation.

She was also ordered to pay $12,000 in restitution.
