MADISON, AL (WAFF) -
Madison Police apprehended the escapees from the Three Springs facility Wednesday morning.
Around 5 a.m., the boys were found breaking into a vehicle at the Rocket City Deli on Jetplex Lane. They stole a fuel card and fled.
Just before 7 a.m., police said the boys knocked on a window at 300 Production Avenue asking for help. The people inside called police, and the boys were caught.
The juveniles escaped Tuesday morning.
One of the boys was serving time for harassment and assault, and the other was serving time for robbery.
Madison Police, the Alabama Department of Corrections, K-9 units and a state issued helicopter were all involved in the search.
