BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference announced the Men's Soccer All-GSC Teams on Tuesday, and UAH's Ragnar Leosson earned First-Team honors after a strong debut season in the Rocket Season.
The midfielder transferred to UAH from Virginia Commonwealth, and he placed second on the squad with five goals and two assists including a game-winning tally at Georgia Southwestern. His two-goal performance against the Hurricanes allowed him to earn GSC Player of the Week honors following the contest.
West Florida placed seven players on the 21-member team, including a league-high four on the First Team. Both Christian Brothers and Delta State turned in five honorees each, while West Alabama followed with three.
West Florida midfielder Richard Dixon and Delta State forward Caue Da Silva were honored as Co-Players of the Year while DSU's Matt Watts was named the Coach of the Year.
