COLBERT COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

A Colbert County teen is home recovering after police said he was beaten up by two other teens.

Now the case will be sent to a grand jury.

Because all three of the teens are juveniles, police are unable to release any names at this time.

It happened last week at the intersection of County Line Road and Old Highway 20 in Leighton.

Police say a 17-year-old teen was attacked by two other teens who then left the scene.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he was treated for a concussion and fractured skull.

According to reports, witnesses at the scene were able to identify those responsible.

Police said the two teens turned themselves in on Friday afternoon.

They're both charged as adults with felony assault.

The two teens are out on bond.
