Woman, baby killed in Sheffield wreck

Two people were killed and one was injured in a wreck Friday night in Sheffield. Two people were killed and one was injured in a wreck Friday night in Sheffield.
SHEFFIELD, AL (WAFF) -

Sheffield Police released the names of the victims involved in the fatal Friday night wreck.

To cars collided just before 9 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Jackson Highway and South Montgomery.

Police said 32-year-old Amanda Hyatt of Muscle Shoals died at the scene of the accident. Another woman, 26-year-old Ashley Lanette Hale, also of Muscle Shoals, was taken to UAB Hospital. Her condition is unknown.

Hale's daughter, 7-month-old Mariah, died Saturday morning at UAB Hospital.

The cause of the wreck is under investigation.
