HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Traffic was shut down in the area of 4835 University Square Monday morning because of a bomb scare.

Some suspicious boxes were found around the edge of the Army Corps of Engineers building and employees were evacuated.

Huntsville Police diverted traffic in the area while investigators determined the building was safe. The bomb squad used bomb detection robots to determine the three boxes were empty.

Employees were allowed to return to the building around 8:45 a.m.
