Chizik: It’s evident why we were beat

AUBURN, AL (WBRC) -

Auburn head football coach Gene Chizik says the reason for Saturday's loss to Texas A&M was clear.

"(It's) obvious we got beat by a better football team today," said Chizik as he began his post game press conference.

Chizik stated that there were many disappointments in the loss. He says the Aggies' running and passing could not be stopped by the Auburn defense. Offensively, Chizik says the Auburn offense needed more first downs to take pressure off the defense.

The coach says that Auburn will get back to work.

"My job is to continue to lead these young guys... to get back to work and try to get a win next week," said Chizik.
