FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) -
A Florence woman was sentenced to 18 months in prison for
assaulting a 100-year-old woman.
Sheron Noel pleaded guilty to second degree assault. Noel
was the victim's caretaker.
Investigators said
Noel assaulted the woman after she confronted Noel about missing money. They
said she used a towel and telephone cord to choke the victim and she used a
picture frame to hit her in the head.
Noel was sentenced to 10 years, split with 18 months to
serve.
