MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Investigators are combing over new locations in connection with the murders of seven people.

On Friday, Lincoln County and Madison County deputies spent several hours on Joe Quick Road near Hazel Green High School.

Around a dozen people walked up and down Joe Quick Road and searched through the tall brush and a nearby field.

Investigators said they couldn't comment as to why they were out there.

Both Lincoln and Madison counties are working together to track down who killed seven people earlier this week, including an unborn child.

Those murders stretch from Fayetteville, Tennessee all the way to Huntsville.

The body of Warren Crutcher, the man connected to six other victims, was found in a field near the area where investigators searched on Friday.

Neighbors said they saw authorities searching near a different area of Joe Quick Road on Thursday.

They said with the killer still on the loose, the entire situation has them freaked out.

"Oh, it is spooky. It's close. Everybody says this is close. This is getting too close to us here," said Hazel Green resident, Lloyd Watford.

Authorities in Lincoln County canceled a press conference to discuss the investigation that was scheduled for Friday.

    Saturday, March 25 2017 5:50 PM EDT2017-03-25 21:50:37 GMT

Showers and storms will be ongoing across the Valley this evening. The most widespread rain will be over northeastern AL, but additional scattered storms will track into the Shoals from the west. That round of stormy weather will head east with time and should be out of the Valley after midnight. The threat for severe storms is low, but a few strong storms are possible.
