Neighbors still on edge after murder on street

FAYETTEVILLE, TN (WAFF) -

Monday night, Jessica Brown, 21, was found dead in the Lincoln County home she shared with Warren Crutcher.

Days after the murders, her neighbors are still on edge. They wanted to keep their identities a secret for fear of their safety.

One lady goes back to that tragic night.

"It was just something you don't see in a small town like this," she said.

Police cars covered 4 Fox Wood Drive. Brown was found dead inside.

"It was chaotic," the lady said. "They had the road blocked off of course and the TBI and everybody was here. I'm pretty sure people are double checking their locks at night here after this."

Brown and Warren Crutcher's 2-month-old son was in the home when Jessica was found. He was not hurt.

The neighbor said she didn't know Jessica very well, but she seemed nice and didn't deserve to have her life cut so short, and neither did the other victims of this terrible tale.

"Who would do something like that to so many? They were so young and children involved. I just hope they find whoever did it," she said.
