DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -
A Decatur mother will soon have her first home thanks to Habitat for Humanity.
The non-profit organization is getting some extra hands from Wells Fargo volunteers as they build the house for Tessa Swindle.
Swindle and her 12-year-old daughter are excited about the chance to have a home to call their own.
"A perfect Thanksgiving. Something to be thankful for. We're really excited. I think she's more excited than I am. She can't wait," Swindle said.
If everything goes as planned, they'll be settled in by Thanksgiving.
Swindle's mortgage will only include construction costs.
Wells Fargo also presented Habitat for Humanity of Morgan County with a check for more than $11,000 Thursday to help with the project.
It will be the 64th home built by Habitat for Humanity of Morgan County. The 63rd is next door.
