LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

A new court date was set for a Limestone County murder suspect.

Joel Moyers was supposed to go before a judge on Tuesday morning, but that hearing was pushed back until November 13.

Prosecutors said Moyers shot and killed Brandon Hydrick in September.

Hydrick and his brother were lost after a camping trip and tried to turn their truck around on Moyers' property.

Moyers told police he thought the men were trespassers and fired a warning shot at them.

That shot went into the truck and hit Hydrick in the back, killing him.

District Attorney Brian Jones told the News Courier in Athens that the case is still under investigation, and capital murder charges are possible.
