FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) -

A mother-daughter pair from the Shoals competed on the Food Network's Cupcake Wars recently.

Harley Williams and her mother, Paula McGee from Sugar on Top Specialty Cakes and Cupcakes in Florence didn't come out on top, but they were runners-up on the show that aired at 7 p.m. Sunday night.

Sugar on Top is the first Alabama bakery to be selected for the show.
