DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -
Decatur Fire responded to a house fire on 602 Ashley Drive
Sunday afternoon.
Officials said the fire started near the garage or laundry
room. The family was home when the fire started and a man tried to put it out
himself.
Crews said the garage and laundry room were completely
destroyed and a car was also damaged.
The man was treated for smoke inhalation but it expected to
be ok.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
