MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
The Southern Fixin Steakhouse and Buffet in Ardmore scored an 84 with the Madison County Health Department.
The health inspector cited the restaurant for cold holding food that was held too warm, above the maximum temperature required to prevent bacterial growth. That included hot dogs five degrees above the 41 degree threshold. It was the only critical violation reported during the inspection.
Two critical violations were reported at Across the Pond in Huntsville as they scored an 83. The inspector reported food that had been prepared there was stored more than 24 hours with no indication of when the food was prepared. The inspector also took off points for a personal drink on a food prep table.
The Presidential Bar and Grill in Huntsville scored an 80. The only critical violation reported by the inspector was for no workers on site having proof of passing their food safety course.
Southern Fixin scored an 84.
