MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
It's been 18 months since the massive tornado outbreak that destroyed parts of the Tennessee valley. Two families who lost everything, now have a new place to call home.
Madison County's Habitat For Humanity dedicated two of their most recent projects Sunday afternoon on Bank St. in Madison County.
Both families lost their homes in April 2011, they also faced additional struggles down the road.
After surviving the outbreak, the Wells family's home was hit a second time during a tornado in March of this year.
A member of the Massey family went through a battle with cancer.
Despite the difficulties both families say it was their faith in God that helped them overcome tragedy.
"It means a whole lot to me. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have the house I just appreciate all the people helping & stuff," said Leslie Wells, new homeowner.
