DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

Workers with Decatur Utilities donned their pink shirts on Friday to commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

They're doing it every Friday in October, and they're wearing pink hard-hats every day - all month long.

Their shirts read, "Real linemen wear pink."

The fight to find a cure is a cause that hits some of the fellows close to home.

"My grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer. My wife's aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer. I do it mainly for them," said Dennis Roberts, a Decatur Utilities lineman.

They say their goal is to remind women to get checked out, and to raise awareness about breast cancer.
