RUSSELLVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

The trial for a former Russellville Police officer charged with making terrorist threats is set to start Monday, October 15.

Investigators said Robert Saint was involved in a three hour standoff with police in April of 2011.

The incident started after police got a call about shots fired.

During the incident, a street was shut down and a recreation center had to be evacuated.
