Car flips on Old Madison Pike, road shut down

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Old Madison Pike between Slaughter Road and Bridge Street was shut down for a little more than an hour because of a traffic accident.

A Dodge truck hit a car head-on around 3 p.m. Friday. The truck flipped on its side, trapping the driver inside. People on the scene got the driver out and he was transported to the hospital.

The man in the car suffered serious injuries.

Huntsville Police are investigating the cause of the wreck. It was raining at the time of the collision.
