Demarcus Kent pleads guilty to 2nd murder, denied new trial

Posted: Updated:

A Madison County judge denied a killer's request for a new trial.

Demarcus Kent shot and killed Monravia Moore near the Woodway Pines Apartments in 2009. Moore was found shot outside the complex.

A Madison County jury convicted Kent, and a judge sentenced him to life without parole.

Kent requested a new trial but the judge said no.

While in court, Kent also pleaded guilty to the 2007 murder of 29-year-old William Mccomb. Kent was charged with the murder in 2008.

He received a 20 year sentence for that murder.
