The first of three presidential debates was last week and it provided us with a starker contrast between candidates. Sadly, even with such a difference between visions for America, barely 50% of Americans are expected to vote in the November election. People who do not vote should be ashamed of themselves. Our democracy is nothing to take for granted. People lost their lives so that we could live in a free country where every citizen has the right to have their voice heard at the voting booth. For someone to have the opportunity and chose not to exercise it is a shame. You may not have your ideal candidate in the race for the Whitehouse, but someone will be the next president of our great nation. As an American you have an ethical obligation to participate. It is time for non-voters to stop making excuses. Get informed and get involved.
