Johnson Elementary principal put on paid leave

LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

The principal of Johnson Elementary School in Athens was put on paid administrative leave Wednesday, according to a school board member familiar with the matter.

The board member said Limestone County Schools Superintendent Dr. Tom Sisk personally made the decision to put Dr. Casey Lewis on leave, but wouldn't give information as to why.

A date for an internal investigation has not yet been set.
