HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Surveillance cameras are a great tool when it comes to catching criminals, and Crime Stoppers was able to identify the man in this story with the help of viewers.
This particular thief actually appeared to pose for the camera.
The man was seen on camera leaving the Walmart on Sparkman Drive. He stopped directly in front of the camera and became very animated talking to a female with him.
He could have been talking about happened at a club inside a building at 109 North Side Square. Police said on August 4, a woman dropped her credit card there, and it quickly made its way to that Walmart.
The man is seen on camera swiping that card to pay for some merchandise. He seems to have "happy feet," nervously looking around him. Then, maybe out of relief, he's laid back and ready for some of that face time on his way out.
According to Huntsville Police, the man seen using the card that was dropped by a woman at a nightclub on the square in downtown Huntsville has been identified as 28-year-old Jade Michael.
HPD is in the process of obtaining a warrant for his arrest.
