MORGAN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
The Morgan County Health Department reported eight violations at the Red Lobster on Beltline Road in Decatur as the restaurant scored an 83.
Two were critical item violations, including one outside of the building. The inspector reported decaying food waste discovered by the dumpster. The inspector also cited Red Lobster for a dirty can opener blade.
The Jet Pep Fast Food Mart on Highway 20 in Decatur scored a 73. The health inspector reported three critical violations, including one for dirty drink nozzles.
Granna's Goodies in Boaz scored an 82. The inspector reported sausage balls at room temperature, a potential bacterial breeding ground.
The Vulcan Express in Boaz scored a 79. A Marshall County health inspector reports they needed to control pests.
The health inspector gave the Y Mart in Boaz two low scores as the bakery scored a 75 and the deli scored an 81.
