MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
A Madison County judge approved a request to delay mass murderer Jacob Shaffer's trial.
The trial will now be held April 29, 2013.
It had been set to begin at the end of October.
Shaffer is being tried for killing Sidney Dempsey in 2009.
Shaffer has already pleaded guilty in Lincoln County, Tennessee to killing five people there.
