ATHENS, AL (WAFF) -
A Limestone County judge sentenced Lisa Pate to life in prison.
Pate was charged with the 2009 murder of James Miller in Athens.
A jury found Pate guilty in August.
The judge could have sentenced her to as little as 20 years.
After 20 years, the Department of Corrections can determine if Pate can be eligible for parole.
