MADISON, AL (WAFF) -
One person was injured in a one vehicle accident in Madison.
The crash happened just after 6 p.m. Sunday on Highway 72 E in front the new Walmart.
Investigators found the driver's vehicle smashed up against a road barrier.
Numerous rescue crews and police responded to the scene. The accident shut down all eastbound lanes of traffic.
Medflight was called in and transported the victim to the hospital. There is no word yet on their condition and no other injuries were reported.
The cause of the wreck is still unknown and the victim's name has not been released.
