Madison Street Festival a success despite rain

Despite less than ideal weather, hundreds came out to the 32nd annual Madison Street Festival Saturday.

Rain showers in the morning delayed the start of the parade, but the damp conditions were not enough to dampen the mood at the festival.

Hundreds came out to enjoy the festival and the local community. There were plenty of activities for every age group. Children were able to enjoy free pony rides, petting zoos, bouncy castles and face paintings. A car show featured dozens of local classics and the "Artist Alley" featured crafts, artwork and jewelry of all kinds for sale.

Local artists too were able to show off their wares and some even offered live demonstrations. Live music and entertainment was also on hand.

The business community was also on hand with informational booths, demonstrations and goodies for attendees.

The weather didn't faze the animals either. Dozens of dogs were in attendance to enjoy the people and atmosphere.
