DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -
Decatur Police arrested an alleged shoplifter Saturday.
Police responded to a robbery call at the Walgreens on Beltline Road. Reports stated a man was spotted shoplifting in the store.
When employees tried to stop him, he shoved one employee and hit a manager. He fled the scene with the stolen merchandise.
Police were able to gather still shots of the suspect from surveillance video. Police were able to identify him as a juvenile that had recently been arrested.
On Saturday, police responded to a fight at Club Access on Central Parkway. When the officers responded, they recognized the juvenile and arrested him.
He was charged with two counts of third degree robbery and later released to his parents.
