ATHENS, AL (WAFF) -
Athens Police said they have a potentially dangerous man off the streets and behind bars.
Officers began searching for Karl Rambo Jr. Thursday when someone found him with a gun inside their South Clinton Street garage.
He ran from that location and just an hour later he was caught breaking into an apartment on Henry Drive.
The Limestone County Sheriff called in a helicopter and canine units to help track Rambo down.
He was found in the closet of the apartment with a double barrel shotgun.
Rambo was arrested and charged with burglary first degree, burglary second degree, receiving stolen property first degree, and criminal trespassing first degree.
He was also charged with receiving stolen property first degree when officers found him in possession of a stolen car from Lincoln County Tennessee. They said the shotgun was also stolen.
