Escaped Lauderdale Co. inmates caught in Evergreen

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Lauderdale County Sheriff Willis said the last two escaped inmates have been apprehended.

Four inmates escaped from the Lauderdale County Detention Center through the ventilation system around 11:45 p.m. Saturday night.

Two of the inmates, Damien Lee Nix and Wesley Lee Gibson, were  caught earlier in the week.

Willis said the remaining two, Ricky Dewayne Lawson, 28, and Robert Lee Brown, 20, were taken into custody in Evergreen, Alabama on Wednesday.
