HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Traffic is backed up on I-565 westbound at the Sparkman Drive exit where several vehicles were involved in a wreck.
One westbound lane is closed as crews work to clean up the wreck.
Three cars crashed on the interstate around 12:45 p.m. Wednesday. One of those vehicles flipped over. Debris from the collision covered the roadway.
One person was ejected from a vehicle. Three people were seriously injured in the wreck and taken to Huntsville Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators said one of the vehicles swerved to miss a box in the road and crashed into the other two vehicles.
