Joel Moyers has been charged with murder in the shooting death of 26-year-old Hydrick.
Investigators said Hydrick and his brother
were driving around Limestone County early Saturday morning after attending a bonfire in the Tanner community.
Moyers saw the brothers' truck and became
suspicious. He told deputies he went outside with his AK-47 rifle,
shined a light on the vehicle and tried to get them to stop. Moyers said
the truck did not stop, so he fired a shot into the air.
Investigators said the bullet struck the tailgate of the truck, entered the cab, and hit Hydrick in the back, killing him.
Moyers was released on a $260,000 bond with four conditions. He had to surrender all of his firearms, he will not be able to possess firearms while free on bond and he must also not live in Belle Mina. He was ordered to move back to Cullman, where he is living in his mother's home on Smith Lake.
