SANTA ROSA COUNTY, FL (WAFF) -

Authorities in Florida captured an escaped Lauderdale County inmate.

Wesley Gibson was caught early Tuesday morning while attempting to burglarize a church in Santa Rosa County, Florida. Investigators said he was trying to steal a vehicle from the church.

Four inmates escaped from the Lauderdale County Detention Center through the ventilation system around 11:45 p.m. Saturday night.

U.S. Marshals located Damien Lee Nix, 23, in Florence less than 24 hours later. Gibson, 27, was picked up in Florida Tuesday morning.

Investigators said Robert Brown, 20, and Ricky Lawson, 28, are still on the run. Florida deputies found the truck Brown, Lawson, and Gibson were traveling in near the church. It has been impounded and taken into evidence.

Deputies said the men were not violent offenders, and most of the sentences were for burglary and theft related crimes.
