SYLVANIA, AL (WAFF) -
A DeKalb
County second grader was taken to the hospital Monday morning following an
accident as she was getting on the bus for school.
DeKalb School
superintendent Charles Warren said at this point, they believe she was struck
by the bus arm.
It happened
on the bus's first stop as they were heading to Sylvania.
The driver
has been placed on leave pending an investigation.
Warren said
the girl was taken to the hospital where she was treated and released.
