Posted: Updated:

Bullying in schools has become far more prevalent, violent and damaging than it was in years past. The scars of being targeted for abuse can last a lifetime. But, there are resources available to parents and kids who feel they've been bullied.

StopBullying.gov is a website set up by the US Dept. of Health and Human Services. It features a broad range of information about traditional bullying, cyberbullying, and how to respond to and prevent it from happening.

Stop Bullying in Alabama is a site run by the state Department of Education. It features Alabama's legal take on bullying, as well as videos, advice for students, parents and even teachers.

The Ophelia Project is a nation-wide program aimed at changing the culture of bullying inside schools. They organize workshops, speaking events and consultations on the topic and have several good resources for parents.
