HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
A tornado watch is in effect until 8 p.m. for much of North Alabama. A tornado watch is in effect until 8pm for Madison,
Jackson Marshall and DeKalb counties in Alabama and Franklin, Moore and Lincoln
county in Tennessee.
Showers and thunderstorms will remain possible in
these areas into the early evening hours. Some of the storms
could contain vivid lightning and strong damaging wind gusts along with
torrential rainfall.
The threat of severe weather will end from west to east this evening.
