MOULTON, AL (WAFF) -
A Moulton police officer was fired for violating city policies.
Mitchell Breland was let go from the department Friday after officials said he violated policies, but they would not disclose what those policies were.
Breland was suspended earlier this month after the department discovered he was being investigated by the Department of Human Resources for child abuse. He was arrested on two counts of willful abuse of a child on September 13.
Breland resigned from the Decatur Police Department in 2010 after he was arrested for domestic violence. Those charges were later dropped.
