GREENVILLE (WSPA/CNN) -
A shelter dog in South Carolina is looking for her forever
home, but it has to be with someone who has a lot of patience.
She has an ailment that requires her to eat in a high chair,
kind of like a baby. Four-month-old Starship was starved for the first few
weeks of her life.
For her food to digest properly, Starship has to eat sitting
upright in a high chair so gravity helps bring the food down to her stomach.
After eating her food, she stays in the high chair for about thirty minutes.
"She just crawled right in and turned around," said a
shelter worker. "I was like, ‘you've got to be kidding me.'"
Starship is looking to sail off to a new home, letting
nothing stand in her way of plenty more hearty meals with the help of her high
chair.
"It's just like someone who is handicapped, they figure a
way to live their life happily," said the shelter worker.
A South Carolina company made Starship's chair and said it will make
an adjustable one for her to use as she grows up.
