Traffic stop leads to drug, weapons bust

A traffic stop on Boaz led to the discovery of pills, meth and weapons.

Police stopped a vehicle on William Street near Martin Avenue. During the stop, officers discovered Gabapentin pills, Methocarbamol pills, two methamphetamine pipes, .3 grams of methamphetamine, syringes, marijuana and brass knuckles.

30-year-old Christopher LaWayne Parrish was arrested and charged with second degree possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, possession of prescription drugs, possession of brass knuckles and possession of drug paraphernalia. He also received multiple traffic citations.

Parrish is being held in the Marshall County Jail with no bond.
