City agrees to raze dilapidated house

HARTSELLE, AL (WAFF) - Hartselle city leaders are moving forward with plans to get rid of a home many neighbors call an eyesore.

Tuesday, the Hartselle City Council approved plans to raze the dilapidated house on Pine Street.

The council took action after relatives of the homeowner failed to come forward and clean it up.

The plan is to have the fire department burn the home if no asbestos is found in the house.
