HARTSELLE, AL (WAFF) -
Two people are in the hospital after an early morning wreck in Hartselle.
A car traveling westbound on Highway 36 left the road and ran through some yards before hitting a drainage ditch and a mailbox around 2 a.m. The car flipped and ejected both passengers.
The passengers were taken to Hartselle Medical Center, the male passenger was in serious condition and the woman passenger was in critical condition.
Helicopters met the ambulance at Hartselle Medical Center, and the couple was air lifted to Huntsville Hospital.
Hartselle Police, Hartselle Fire, Oak Ridge Volunteer Fire, Morgan County deputies and State Troopers responded to the scene.
It is unclear who was driving or what caused the wreck.
