Auburn in the NFL - Week 3

Auburn entered the 2012 season with 28 alumni on National Football League rosters, the eighth-best total among college football programs.  

Devin Aromashodu
(WR, Minnesota Vikings)   

Two catches for 24 yards in Minnesota's 24-13 win over previously unbeaten San Francisco. Aromashodu now has six receptions for 104 yards this season, his fifth in the NFL and second with the Vikings. 

Rob Bironas
(PK, Tennessee Titans)

Connected on five point after attempts and 3-of-5 field goals, including makes from 31-, 38-, and 26-yards – the eventual game winner as Tennessee dropped Detroit 44-41 in overtime. Bironas is a perfect 6-for-6 on field goals inside 39 yards this season. 

Ronnie Brown
(RB, San Diego Chargers)

Inactive for San Diego's 27-3 loss to Atlanta on Sunday. Brown has 65 total yards on 18 touches this season. He has played in 94 games in his career with more than 4,900 rushing yards and 49 touchdowns. 

Jason Campbell
(QB, Chicago Bears)

Did not play, but served as backup quarterback for Chicago's 23-6 win over the Rams. Campbell is in his sixth NFL season after being selected in the first round by Washington in 2005. He has passed for more than 14,000 yards in his career with 74 touchdowns. 

Karlos Dansby
(LB, Miami Dolphins)

Recorded eight tackles (seven solo) and one deflection in Miami's 23-20 overtime loss to the Jets. A nine-year veteran, Dansby has 25 tackles in three games this season and more than 700 stops in his career. 

Tristan Davis
(RB, Washington Redskins)

Will miss the 2012 season after being placed on injured reserve on September 3. 

King Dunlap
(OT, Philadelphia Eagles)

Missed Philadelphia's 24-6 loss to Arizona on Sunday due to a hamstring injury. Started the season's first two games at left tackle for the Eagles. 

Nick Fairley
(DT, Detroit Lions)

Saw time at defensive tackle in Detroit's 44-41 loss to Tennessee in overtime. The 13th overall pick in 2011, Fairley has played in 13 games in two seasons with the Lions. 

Mario Fannin
(RB, Denver Broncos)

Will miss the 2012 season after being placed on injured reserve with a knee injury on August 8. 

Tyronne Green
(OG, San Diego Chargers)

Started at guard, but San Diego fell to Atlanta 27-3. Green has played in 31 games in his career and started 18. 

Quentin Groves 
(LB, Arizona Cardinals)

Totaled three tackles and added a sack of Michael Vick as the Cardinals downed Philadelphia 27-6 to improve to 3-0 on the season. Groves is in his first season in Arizona and fifth overall in the NFL. He has totaled 115 tackles in his career with 4.5 sacks and two interceptions. 

Ben Grubbs
(OG, New Orleans Saints)

Started at guard for the Saints in a 27-24 overtime loss to Kansas City. Grubbs has played in 77 games in his six-year career with 73 starts. He has started in every game he has played since 2008. 

Josh Harris
(DS, Atlanta Falcons)

Served as long snapper in Atlanta's 27-3 win over San Diego as the Falcons improved to 3-0 for the first time since 2004. 

Will Herring
(LB, New Orleans Saints)

Had two solo tackles in New Orleans' 27-24 loss to Kansas City in overtime. Herring has totaled 126 tackles in his six-year career. 

Brandon Jacobs
(RB, San Francisco 49ers)

Was once again inactive for 49ers in 24-13 loss to Minnesota. Jacobs is an eight year NFL veteran and is in his first year with the 49ers after seven seasons with the New York Giants, including two Super Bowl victories. 

Spencer Johnson  
(DE, Buffalo Bills)

Recorded one pass break up in Buffalo's 24-14 win over the Browns. Johnson has four tackles this season and 288 total in his nine-year career. 

Pat Lee
(DB, Oakland Raiders)

Recorded four tackles (three solo) and forced a fumble as the Raiders knocked off Pittsburgh 34-31 in dramatic fashion. Lee has played in all three games this season with two starts. He has recorded nine tackles. 

Sen'Derrick Marks
(DT, Tennessee Titans)

Returned from injury in a major way with six stops (four solo) as the Titans defeated Detroit 44-41 in overtime. Marks has played in 38 games in his four-year career with 13 starts. 

Brandon Mosley 
(OG, New York Giants)

Will miss the 2012 season after being placed on injured reserve on August 27 with an ankle injury. 

Cam Newton 
(QB, Carolina Panthers)

Passed for 242 yards on 16-of-30 with three interceptions while also rushing for a one-yard touchdown as the Panthers dropped to 1-2 on the season with a 36-7 loss to the Giants. Newton has started all 19 games in his career after being drafted No. 1 overall by the Panthers in 2011. HE has passed for nearly 5,000 yards in those 19 games with 23 touchdowns. 

Ben Obomanu  
(WR, Seattle Seahawks)

Had one reception for 18 yards in Seattle's 14-12 win over Green Bay on Monday Night Football. Obomanu has played in 61 games and totaled 81 receptions for 1,159 yards with seven touchdowns. 

Jerraud Powers
(DB, Indianapolis Colts)

Had two tackles and a deflection, but the Colts came up short against Jacksonville 22-17. Powers has started all 37 games in his career and registered 187 tackles with five interceptions. 

Jay Ratliff
(DT, Dallas Cowboys)

Missed his third game with a high ankle sprain as the Cowboys defeated Tampa Bay 16-10. Ratliff is in his eighth season, all with Dallas. He has started 78 games with 212 tackles and 27.0 sacks. 

Carlos Rogers
(DB, San Francisco 49ers)

Had one solo tackle in the 49ers' 24-13 loss at Minnesota. In his eighth season after being drafted No. 9 overall by Washington in 2005, Rogers has seven tackles in 2012. He's started all but three of the 85 games he played in since 2006 and was a 2011 Pro Bowl and All-Pro selection. 

Pat Sims 
(DT, Cincinnati Bengals)

Currently on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list with an ankle injury. A five-year veteran, Sims has played in 52 games with 23 starts. He is yet to play in 2012. 

Takeo Spikes    
(LB, San Diego Chargers)

Had a season and game high 13 tackles (11 solo) in San Diego's 27-3 defeat at the hands of the Falcons. Spikes has recorded 1,021 tackles in his 15 seasons in the NFL, the last two with San Diego. He has totaled 19 this season while helping  San Diego to a 2-1 record. 

Ben Tate             
(RB, Houston Texans)

Helped the Texans improve to 3-0 for the first time in franchise history with 26 yards on eight carries as Houston knocked off Denver 31-25. Tate when over 1,000 yards rushing for his career during Week 2 against Jacksonville. He has 1,048 yards for his career with six touchdowns. 

Lee Ziemba
(OT, Carolina Panthers)

Will miss the 2012 season after being placed on injured reserve on September 3 with a knee injury.
