One person was shot and killed during an argument inside a home in Limestone County. One person was shot and killed during an argument inside a home in Limestone County.
LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

There was a deadly shooting in Limestone County around midnight Friday night, Saturday morning inside a home on Townsend Ford Road, just northwest of Athens.

Deputies found 22-year-old Darrel Thomas Taylor on in the hallway with a gunshot wound to his stomach. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Witnesses told investigators the homeowner, Bradley Phillips, got into an argument with his girlfriend. The girlfriend's sister and Taylor went to the house and the two men fought. Taylor got on top of Phillips, who then shot Taylor.

No charges have been filed at this time.

The case remains under investigation.

The body was taken to the Department of Forensic Science in Huntsville for an autopsy.
