MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
A jogger was killed after she was hit by a car on Sharps Cove Road.
State Troopers and HEMSI responded to the scene just after 6 a.m. 59-year-old Debra Clark was jogging on Sharps Cove Road near County Lake Road when a silver Pontiac Grand Am struck her.
Troopers said it was foggy out and the driver did not see her.
Medflight was called to the scene, but did not land. The woman was transported to Huntsville Hospital in critical condition. She later died at the hospital.
Troopers do not expect any charges to be filed against the driver.
