UNA Finishes Second at Kiawah Island - WAFF-TV: News, Weather and Sports for Huntsville, AL

LIONS FINISH SECOND AT KIAWAH ISLAND INVITATIONAL

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. -- The University of North Alabama golf team placed four individuals in the Top 11 as the Lions finished second in a 19-team field at the Kiawah Island Invitational. The Lions had a two-round, 577 total, finishing just one stroke behind host South Carolina-Aiken.

North Alabama led USC-Aiken by a stroke after the first round but the hosts bettered t Lions by two strokes on Tuesday.

UNA's Ricky Stimets finished sixth individually with a one-under-par 143 total. He shot a 66 on Monday but slipped back to a 77 in the second round. UNA's Blaise Wilson tied for seventh at 144, Trent Alexander and Mason Rogers tied for 11th at 145 and Paul McClure was 49th at 153.
